DIY Tutorials

This series of DIY tutorials explore low tech and low cost photography techniques. Created by A&D professor Rebekah Modrak, they extend and expand upon techniques discussed in her book Reframing Photography: Theory and Practice which she co-wrote with Bill Anthes.

These tutorials walk you through the process of creating light & shadow using simple diffusers, reflectors, and colored gels, how to set up an affordable lighting studio, reproductive processes such as image transfers with wintergreen oil or inkjet printers, as well as a slide show about artists' works.
