An experiment with stopmotion animation and sculpture.
From the Artist:
I’m fascinated with the mountains of leaves that accumulate on the ground in fall. I love the smell of decaying leaves and the sound that they make when I walk through them. I imagined my own face in the leaves, how it might dance with them, move across them, be smothered by them and then resurface. This is my exploration of fall, the way that I observe it outside of myself, and also the emotions that surface internally as the season transitions from warm to cold, external to internal, open to closed.
This was my first experiment with stop motion film, using a Canon 10D photography camera.
