Students in John Marshall’s “Concept, Form & Context” class were asked to create “an extension of the body using materials that would normally be discarded.”
More from the assignment:
“The objective is not only to transform ‘garbage’ but also to try to change our perception of waste and your relationship to it through making.
The second part of the assignment asks you to interact with your body extension in a way that significantly alters our perception of it as waste. Through this exploration of human physicality you should reveal insights about our human abilities and limitations.”
