With the help of a research seed grant from the Stamps School of Art & Design, faculty Roland Graf started Daylight Media Lab- a collaboration with engineering faculty from robotics and material science. The lab brings together artists and engineers to push boundaries of entertainment culture and technology and change the way humans see daylight through the lens of technology.
The lab’s most recent project is focused on street gaming. With the help of his engineering partners, Graf has developed Solar Pink Pong - a street game that uses sunlight to create an immersive street video game experience that is unencumbered by screens or controllers.
This video explains how it works.
