Title: Pi Complex

Description: Visual exploration of cycles of convergence and separation in the marriages of identities of two people seemingly speaking the same language. Artist's notes: "Pi Complex" was shot entirely in the Video Studio in the Duderstadt Center of the University of Michigan. I wanted to investigate how/whether a sense of personal identify can manifest even when the script is seemingly identical for all participants. The language of Pi was selected as the common language, as Pi was something both actors had to learn, but it was the learning of the language for something in which they were involved from the moment of conception perhaps: the circle of existence.
