Description:

This is documentation of a video installation which explores overlapping concets of time and space. Borrowing on Barnett Newman's idea of the zip, the present of a specific location is strapped alway and the past is unlocked. The a possible future is also dramatically presented. Zip won an honorable mention at the Spring 2006 Lightworks Film Festival at the UofM Film/Video School.

Artist's notes:

This video was went through 7 different iterations of the same idea. Orginally, houses were meant to be projected on a grouping of trees. That failed, I tried to project on a single tree. This didnt give results i wanted, so I than i tired a few other ideas. Everything came together with the final building which actually did get destroyed the next day.
